The Sculpture Center’s W2S Series: packed with sculpture, installation, performance

Don’t miss the W2S series of dynamic and provocative new sculpture, installations and performance by some of the very best early career sculptors of our region.

Sara Holwerda explores the structure of female identity: there is a jam-packed performance at her opening and a week of feminist events with the CIA in April. David Colagiovanni’s work investigates time and space with video and uniquely constructed sound sculptures. Amanda Briede, immersed in rock culture, creates a universal concert experience complete with intense sound vibrations and flashing lights. Ryan Legassicke, after world travels to visit government built walls and fences, immerses the viewer in the physical and psychological experience of exclusion. Janet MacPherson, deeply influenced by Catholicism and Christian martyrdom, presents a procession of cast clay animals masked, bandaged and hybridized.
