Artists Archives of the Western Reserve Presents Newly Archived Artists Joyce Morrow Jones and Mona Kolesar, with Evelyn Ward

As summer winds down, Artists Archives of the Western Reserve (AAWR) continues to ramp up, presenting seven individual exhibitions for the autumn months. First, and currently on display at AAWR, we feature inaugural solo exhibitions from newly archived artists Mona Kolesar and Joyce Morrow Jones, alongside work by archived artist Evelyn Ward pulled from our collection.

Next up, and opening Thursday, September 3, we proudly present the 2026 NewNow in partnership with Tri-C’s Gallery East. This annual juried exhibit has traditionally been open to artists specifically from northeast Ohio, but this year the invitation was extended to artists throughout the state. As of this writing the call to entry is still open, but once you read this, we should be just about done installing the works selected by our juror Jimmy Baker, associate professor and head of painting and drawing at the Art Academy of Cincinnati. We hope you will join us for the opening reception and awards ceremony on September 3 at Gallery East!

Our last exhibitions of the year include three additional inaugural solo exhibitions for archived artists Dexter Davis, David Batz, andRobert Wright. With this group of artists, we will end the year with a raucous, colorful and energetic mix of artwork focusing on mixed media, collage, and ceramics.
