Kings & Queens: Greetings!

Emerging artist Cassandra Ward, at work in The Art Palace.

Greetings My CAN Family and Friends!

Can you believe that April 15 marks a year since Kings & Queens of Art moved into a new studio space both physically and spiritually???? And I am loving our new studio space at 1385 East 34th Street–still!

In November 2021 we launched Artist Play Date on the first Sunday of each month, and we are still working on growing that! We have hosted several community events: Reverse Ride-Along with new police cadets, Neighborhood Greenspace Workshops and several private Birthday Paint Parties.

Coming this Spring/Summer the Sisters of Charity Foundation has asked me to team up with Western Reserve Land Conservatory to reimagine three vacant lots in Central. Learn more at freshwatercleveland.com/features/TreeCanopyUnderserved030222.aspx.

Coming up June 3 at The Art Palace: MidTown Cleveland Pride Pop-Up! Join MidTown Cleveland for the second annual Pride Pop-up! There will be TONS of family friendly programming, resources, food and beverages, vendors, and FREE on-site HIV testing. Plus, drag performances and speakers from organizations leading the way in Cleveland’s LGBTQ health. Keep an eye on MidTown social media for more information!

If you need a space to work or, think The Art Palace. We have 5,280 square feet! We also have outdoor space available on 36th and Central! Just contact me, Gwendolyn Garth, at 216.339.0571 or gwendolyngarth play @gmail.com.
