CAN Triennial announces Exhibition Prizes and Purchase Prize in partnership with regional institutions

The N in CAN stands for Network, and so we are especially proud to announce that CAN Triennial will partner with regional institutions to offer a series of Exhibition Prizes and Purchase Prizes.

The following prizes are named for institutions whose curators will come to CAN Triennial and choose an exhibiting artist to be given a solo exhibition at that institution in 2019 or 2020:

ARTneo Exhibiton Prize
BAYarts Exhibition Prize
Canton Museum of Art Exhibition Prize
Mansfield Art Center Exhibition Prize
Massillon Museum Exhibiton Prize

CAN Triennial is also pleased to announce its first Purchase Prize:

The Cleveland Art Association will add to its collection by purchasing a work from CAN Triennial. Founded in 1915, CARTA’s collection includes paintings, drawings, prints, small sculptures, photographs, textiles, ceramics and glass by notable Cleveland artists, from eminent Cleveland School painters like Paul Travis and Henry Keller, to exciting new contemporary works purchased annually.

Deadline for application to CAN Triennial is March 15.

The opinions expressed on CAN Blog are those of the individual writers. Art is somewhat subjective. Well, somewhat. But yes, everybody's a critic.
