Come check out the Cleveland Print Room!
The Cleveland Print Room is excited to present our third annual open-call, juried exhibition, The Peer Show (June 9 – July 1), judged by Massillon Museum Executive Director Alexandra Coon, and University Hospitals Art Curator Tom Huck. The exhibition awards cash prizes in five categories and features works in a variety of photographic media: digital, hand-processed black-and-white, as well as alternative processes.
Works of Cleveland artist Melinda Placko and Rochester, New York vernacular photography collector Nigel Maister will be presented side-by-side in a new exhibition entitled Double Edged (July 14 – August 19). Their work, both explicitly and implicitly narrative in nature, evokes stories of parallel worlds that may or may not provide keys to understanding our own.
Rounding out the Summer schedule is a double-header September 8 – November 10: Lissa Rivera’s Beautiful Boy debuts the internationally-shown, New York City-based photographer here in Cleveland, with work from her ongoing project focusing on her domestic partner as muse, documenting their exploration of femininity and the nuances of photography as a transformative medium. Alongside Rivera’s work, Laura Ruth Bidwell showcases a body of her work entitled Song of Desire.
Please join us this summer–with our full slate of exhibitions, classes and workshops, there’s always something happening at the Cleveland Print Room!
