Artists Archives: Professional Practice Series, plus Spring Exhibits

2017 Marks the launching of our new schedule of programs entitled ART BITES: Nutrition for the Creative Mind.  ART BITES is a series of ongoing programs that offer information for artists and like-minded individuals.  These are divided into three categories:  Professional Practices for Artists, Collecting Art Talks and Artist Studio Tours.

As part of the Professional Practices series, we are proud to present Business of Art for Artists, with Mary Urbas.  These classes are designed as a first-step towards helping artists make a successful transition from creating art to presenting and promoting it. Mary Urbas will share her 35 years of marketing experience in the professional fine art world as a gallery owner, curator, teacher, consultant and exhibiting artist.  The Business of Art for Artists series is free to the public, courtesy of a matching grant provided by Cuyahoga Arts and Culture.  Class schedule and registration information is available on artistsarchives.org.

This Spring, A.A.W.R. is presenting the following two satellite exhibitions.  Women of the Western Reserve, featuring the work of Archived Artists Ruth Bercaw, Lee Heinen, Phyllis Seltzer & Member Artist Marti Higgins, is currently on view in Cleveland’s AECOM Building until June 1.  In honor of Women’s History Month, a Legacy Reception will be held from 6 0 7 pm Thursday, March 23.
