Screw Factory Artists Open Studio: Six Years and Counting

This year marks the 6^th annual open studio event for the Screw Factory Artists. As one of the newer artist enclaves in the Northeast Ohio area, the Screw Factory’s events continue to grow and evolve each year. The group has welcomed in a handful of new artists and businesses in the past year. It’s Fall shopping events have become a mainstay of the shopping season for local art and handmade items. The first event in November helps shoppers get the jump on holiday shopping while the Last Minute Market enables procrastination as an all out gift buying frenzy.

The November open studio showcases the resident artists and businesses in the building. They often invite their artist friends to join them in the studio. Meanwhile the Last Minute Market allows visitors to apply to this juried show.

Artists also use their studios to host private events, classes and workshops. Classes include jewelry making, ceramics, soap making, painting and glass fusing.
