Art House Ceramic Studio Clay Technician Billy Ritter has been managing the clay studio for more than over a year. Having whipped things into a new order, Ritter is now helping to re-launch ceramic open studio.
The goal of Art House’s Ceramic Open Studio is to provide an opportunity for local clay artists to work independently in a professional community studio without investing in the cost of equipment required for a clay studio. For a low monthly fee, participants have access to the ceramic studio for 8 hours a week— Thursday and Saturday evenings from 6-10 pm, for a total of 32 hours a month.
The working studio is equipped with ten wheels, two dependable kilns, a slab roller, and storage shelves and lockers all in a user friendly studio space. In addition, AH’s open studio offers members regular bisque firings, frequent glaze firings, cone 5 glazes, a clean work area, organized hand tools, and knowledgeable staff.
