Biographical Info We offer a broad selection of ceramic products, equipment and supplies. Product categories include glazes, moist clay, earthenware and stoneware casting slip, earthenware and stoneware bisque, casting molds, kilns, potters wheels, decorating brushes, tools and accessories. We also carry many specialty accessories and parts for making clocks, music boxes and lamps. OCS was founded in the early 1950s by John and Dorothy Cummins. They sold the business to their nephew, Jim Kandell, in 1970. Jim has operated the distributorship and John’s Slip manufacturing facility in Kent, Ohio for 45 years. OCS was then purchased by Mayco Colors in April, 2015. OCS joins sister company Buckeye Ceramic Supply as distribution partners in Ohio, and as division of Mayco Colors.
