In Resonance: Finding the Rhythm of Community Through Art

At Sltwtr Art Gallery, In Resonance brings together the gallery’s resident artists and the artists who make up the Loiter Building family in a celebration of creative exchange, community, and collective vision. Opening 5 to 9 pm on October 1, the exhibition explores the ways creators build connections, not only with one another, but with the places and people that shape their work.

Each artist enters the exhibition with a distinct voice, history, and creative frequency. Together, these voices create a layered conversation about identity, belonging, transformation, and the power of shared imagination. In Resonance reflects the belief that art is not created in isolation; it is formed through relationships, collaboration, and the ongoing dialogue between artists and their communities.

Loiter can be imagined as a musician and its artists as the hands reaching toward the strings of the musical body that is East Cleveland. Each creative act becomes a note, a vibration, a contribution to a larger composition. The pursuit is not simply to create sound, but to listen to discover the frequency where art, community, and place come together.
