Summit Artspace invites the public to explore 2026 Summer Exhibitions, featuring local artists working across sculpture, digital technologies, mixed media, and collage. Together, these exhibitions examine themes of memory, social issues, identity, and the interconnectedness of human experience. They are on view from July 31 to September 26.

Visitors to our summer exhibitions will experience thought-provoking installations that explore collective history, nostalgia, community, and meditative digital landscapes. The Betty and Howard Taylor Main Gallery will be transformed by //benitez_vogl studio with kinetic sculptures, soothing soundscapes, and hypnotic projections inspired by László Moholy-Nagy’s light explorations and Luigi Russolo’s Art of Noises. All our exhibiting artists this season have reinvented Summit Artspace’s galleries, inviting viewers to reflect on what it means to have a home, to be displaced, and to feel nostalgia, and also the memories and experiences we choose to share with the world.

Among the new summer exhibitions is a technology-driven show by artist duo Margarita Benitez and Markus Vogl, known as //benitez_vogl studio. Their upcoming show, Prismatic Echoes merges 3D-printed kinetic sculptures and projections. The immersive installation transforms the Betty and Howard Taylor Main Gallery into a dynamic environment where light, sound, movement, and physical forms continue to interact. Visitors are invited into what the artists describe as “living, multi-sensory dialogue that exposes the fragile, luminous boundary between material reality and spatial activation.”

Light Remains | Meaghan Reed

Meaghan Reed’s intricate, layered mixed-media artworks combine paint, plexiglass, and wood to draw the viewer in for closer examination. Her immersive installation includes large-scale painted illustrations of flowers, with three-dimensional floating butterflies and birds, aiming to transport the viewer from an urban to an organic space focused on personal and community growth and life.

INTERSECTIONS GALLERY

Vessels | Kat Francis

Vessels is a body of mixed-media collages and sketchbook pieces that explore the quiet, mutual experiences which shape human life. These works are constructed as vignettes—small, intimate glimpses into everyday life—that reflect the universal way of living, caring, gathering, and being.

FORUM GALLERY

Shelter as a Human Right | Group Exhibition

Curated by Eric Tuck-Macalla, Shelter as a Human Right explores what it means to be unsheltered, to be under the strain of housing insecurity, and to be a refugee in today’s social climate. This group exhibition features two- and three-dimensional artworks created by artists from the unhoused community that Macalla assists at St. Paul’s UCC in Cleveland, as well as Macalla’s own sculptural structures.

I Say Something About Her Every Time I Speak | Nora Gast

Nora Gast creates a moment of reflection amid great change in her experimental glass and mixed-media installation, I Say Something About Her Every Time I Speak. Incorporating nostalgia, memory, and identity in relation to domestic objects, the exhibition investigates the importance of keepsakes. Gast states, “in times of uncertainty, objects around us provide comfort, allow us to access memories, and are a reminder of who we are.”

Take more time to interact with the 2026 Summer Exhibitions and local artists from 5 to 8 pm on Thursday, September 10, during our late-night event, Art After Hours. Experience interactive activities from current exhibiting and resident artists at the Summit Artspace building. Looking ahead, visitors can anticipate the opening of Fall Exhibitions from October 15 until December 19.
