During the transition to our new building on Lexington Avenue, Cleveland Print Room (CPR) has formed a partnership with Cleveland State University to use their lab facility as our community darkroom, serving CPR members and students. The spacious, well-ventilated darkroom accommodates up to fifteen people comfortably, with lab monitors present to offer assistance to all. We currently offer open lab to members for a minimal fee on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4 to 9 pm, Sundays from noon to 4 pm and two Saturdays a month from noon to 4pm.

Two Saturdays a month we offer BASICS courses on developing and printing film. These courses are flexible and individualized according to need, whether it be a refreshing of old skills or a first-lesson. We also offer specialized workshops, including using the Holga camera, darkroom manipulations, Van Dyke and cyanotype printing, and the Polaroid transfer process.

Our youth programming includes Project Snapshot, a sixteen-week program focusing on the analog film processes and visual storytelling. Analog Bootcamp, offered during the summer, gives teens an intensive week-long darkroom experience. These classes are grant funded and offered to students at no charge. We also facilitate day-long customizable darkroom experience workshops for local schools upon request.
