Cleveland Print Room Opens ⨏/2 Pop-up Gallery in Ohio City

Cleveland Print Room’s new ⨏/2 pop-up space at City Goods in Ohio City.

As the Cleveland Print Room (CPR) continues to grow, we are happy to announce our first iteration of ⨏/2 (F-stop Two), a community-based pop-up project focused on deepening relationships with the community through exhibitions, educational workshops, partnerships, and experimental programs. ⨏/2, which opened this July, will be creating space for members of the community to engage with artists and photographers and their work throughout the city of Cleveland. ⨏/2 will occupy Hangar #2 at City Goods, 1438 West 28th Street in Ohio City, through December 31.

In September, CPR will begin the year-long project KIN, a curated experience of exhibitions, workshops, and programs exploring and celebrating Black artists’ work with photographic archives. Launching the project, Los Angeles–based photographer Adam Davis is bringing his ongoing Black Magic project back to Cleveland as an artist-in-residence at CPR, where he will make photographic tintypes as part of his goal to create an archive of 20,000 portraits of Black Americans. In partnership with moCa Cleveland and CPR, Davis will also host Story Time at the museum on September 29, the first of many intimate gatherings replicating the communal environment of Davis’s studio at the historic St. Elmo Village.
