Classic Doubting Thomas
Meanwhile, over at Brandt Gallery, father and daughter Tom and Rebecca Yody both exhibited works for the wall.
Tom Yody’s assembled relief sculptures in wood and fabric are sometimes symmetrical, sometimes, not. Painted white, they have something in common with the sculpted plaster ornaments that sometimes adorn ceilings of grand houses, but with a more expressive and substantial language about their curves.
Rebecca’s wall sculptures work with the lines of twigs, and chicken wire, and other materials to show, or with their lines, create–harmony between man and nature.
