This spring, the School of Art Collection and Galleries at Kent State University (KSU) will host a variety of exhibitions showcasing emerging work of past and present students. These exhibitions are free, open to the public, and a great way to engage with new talent in the area.

THE M.F.A. EXHIBITION
Each year, School of Art graduate students exhibit their final work in the M.F.A. Exhibition as part of the program’s capstone. Kent State University offers the only MFA program in Northeast Ohio and is the only program in the state of Ohio to offer such a wide breadth of studio specialties.

This year’s MFA exhibitions feature an international cadre of twelve students across a variety of studio disciplines and will take place over two weeks. Exhibitions are located on the KSU campus in the Center for the Visual Arts (325 Terrace Drive) and in downtown Kent at the Downtown Gallery (141 East Main Street).

Week One of the M.F.A. Exhibition takes place April 1–4, with an artist reception from 5 to 7 pm on Friday, April 4. Week one will feature artists Austin Peer, Chungho Lyu, Caroline Perkison, Danicko Rivera, Atoosa Fadaei, and Brandon Hoida.
