The Expo will take place at Fred and Laura Ruth Bidwell Foundation’s Transformer Station, 1460 West 29th Street in Cleveland, Ohio. The Transformer Station is a cultural facility devoted to showing the Bidwells’ private photography collection and also serves as a venue for significant new contemporary art projects curated by the Cleveland Museum of Art.

The Expo offers a unique opportunity for patrons to browse and purchase fine works of art from some of Ohio’s most respected dealers and galleries. This is the only expo of its kind in the region and the only place where such diversified offerings can be found. All of the participating galleries and dealers have placed art with major museums in addition to private and corporate collections. All exhibitors will bring a selection showcasing their best works. These offerings include a cross section of historic, regional, international and contemporary paintings, drawings, original prints, photography, fiber art and sculpture. From established collectors to first time buyers, everyone visiting will find something that appeals to their taste.

The 2014 ARTExpo will open on Friday, March 14 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM with a gala preview party. Saturday afternoon at 2:00 pm, noted art historian, Dr. Henry Adams, will lead visitors on a “walk and talk” through the exposition. He will browse dealers’ booths with guests and talk about select works of art from each. On Sunday afternoon at 2:00 pm, he will sign copies of his newly published book, Painting in Pure Color: Modern Art in Cleveland Before the Armory Show, 1908-1913. Dr. Adams has written and published many books, curated noted traveling exhibitions and collaborated with Ken Burns on a PBS documentary.
