“How do you interpret the title, Photo Poet?” – Aja

“To be a photo poet, is to be someone who can capture a moment with the intention of telling a story in the final product.” – Braxton

From the hood to the woods and everywhere in between, Braxton Taylor’s photography reflects on his personal exposure to an array of everchanging environments. Shooting primarily on 35mm film, Taylor’s eye focuses on capturing beauty in blight and organic moments in culture.

Braxton shoots primarily on his Canon AE-1, while also utilizing a Minolta SRT 202 and an X-7. His film of choice: Kodak Ultramax 400 and Cinestill 800.

Braxton is a self-defined hobbyist who allowed his creative eye to guide him to making the images we see today.
