Zygote Presents the Third Biannual Queer Print + Zine Fair

As part of the 2025 Pride Celebration, Zygote Press is presenting PINK INK: The Third Biannual Queer Print + Zine Fair. We are thrilled to be partnering with the LGBT Center of Greater Cleveland for the first time. This outdoor vendors’ market features artists who specialize in printmaking, book and zine-making, as well as other paper goods. Zygote Press holds a national call open to any vendors who identify as queer and sell paper goods—prints, zines, books, comics, chapbooks, and anything adjacent.
Historically the vendors have set up their tents and wares in the parking lot next to the building, but this we are expanding to accommodate more artists, offer more public programming, and integrate a curated exhibition. Zygote is working with the city to close East 30th Street to traffic and fill the block between with outdoor tents, tables, and activities.
In addition to the outdoor fair, Zygote is planning a series of events, workshops, demos, and an exhibition that will run in conjunction with the fair. While the curated exhibition will appeal to visitors who are interested in the arts and its relationship with the Queer experience, Zygote is also offering arts activities that engage visitors of all ages and backgrounds. On the day of the fair, we will have a Steamroller Printmaking Event, a collaborative art activity that involves using an industrial steamroller to transfer an image from a large carved block onto paper. This is a fun and entertaining way to gather the community together to collaborate on creating large prints.
The Queer Print + Zine Fair celebrates the culture and experiences of the LGBT+ community, and is the only large-scale vendor sale in Ohio that features all Queer printmakers/zinemakers. Being a safe space for artists that identify as LGBTQ+ has become a key part of Zygote’s mission. Sales like the Queer Print + Zine Fair give these artists a platform to express themselves and sell their work in a safe, encouraging environment—which is especially important in the current political moment.
