‘Tis the Season to Get Involved at the Morgan!

We want to thank everyone who participated in our magnificent 2nd annual Dress to IMPRESS paper fashion fundraiser in October. Fourteen artist-designers spent months creating jaw-dropping, gorgeous ensembles of wearable art under the theme Reduce. Redact. Reuse. Recycle. Close to 300 people attended and enjoyed the powerful, creative runway presentation as it rocked the Morgan. It was a magical night: our guests, designers, models, and volunteers had a wonderful experience. Dress to IMPRESS supports the educational and artistic programs the Morgan Conservatory offers throughout the year. We are grateful to everyone who participated for helping us bring high-quality workshops, gallery exhibitions, and studio facilities to the community and artists of Cleveland, Northeast Ohio, and beyond.
Visiting the Morgan Conservatory—our studios, gallery, and garden dedicated to every facet of papermaking, book arts and letterpress printing—provides a much-needed inspiring and culturally rich escape from Cleveland’s gray days. As you set intentions for the new year, why not add a little more creativity to the list? Come learn a new skill, step outside your comfort zone, or simply spend time with fellow artists who love making things by hand. Whether you’re here for a workshop or an exhibition, or just to soak up the atmosphere, we’d love to welcome you into the Morgan community. Come explore, create, and warm up your winter with paper arts!

THE MORGAN’S NEW NATIVE PLANT AND RAIN GARDEN—COMING THIS SPRING!
The Morgan is excited to announce that we are designing and installing a Native Plant and Rain Garden next door to our front entrance to help beautify the neighborhood, create habitat for native species, and manage stormwater runoff. Our garden would not be what it is today without the support of our dedicated volunteers and interns who help with seeding, pruning, weeding, transplanting, and overall care of our garden each season. Please reach out to us at volunteer@morganconservatory.org if you’re interested in planting and more—your enthusiasm and gardening skills are appreciated!
CALL FOR ARTISTS
Each year, the Morgan Conservatory organizes its Juried Exhibition to feature innovative artworks, from artists in Northeast Ohio and around the country, that highlight paper as a creative medium and active substrate. Artworks that utilize handmade paper, printmaking techniques, or artist books are highly encouraged.
Submission deadline: 11:59 pm EST Saturday, December 6. Registration fee: $30 for up to three submissions, with a 15% discount for Morgan members. Notification: Saturday, January 10, 2026.
MORGAN MAKERS’ EXHIBITION: SPOTLIGHT ON ART BOOKS CLEVELAND
Come celebrate and shop during our annual Morgan Makers’ Exhibition, which includes work by all ArtsPass members. Kicking off with a reception from 5 to 8 pm on Friday, December 12, and running through Saturday, January 10, this special holiday exhibition features the scope of talent in paper, book, and print that can be found in our community here at the Morgan. In addition to our Morgan and ArtsPass members, we will highlight the local group Art Books Cleveland, who were prompted to explore the theme Scraps.
