Summer at Edward E. Parker Museum of Art

Daughter of The Sun, sculpture by artist Edward Parker.

For several months, we have been dealing with building repairs that have disrupted our regular programming schedule. The United We Stand exhibit, announced in the last issue of CAN, was canceled, and the decision was made to forego the 2026 Collard Green Festival, and the Alternative Health Fair. On a positive note, our paused bi-weekly art class is able to resume in June. So, what ‘s happening at EEPMOA?

Group Exhibits

Once normal operations have resumed, we will begin hosting a series of exhibits showcasing the dynamic works of local artists. The work of three to four artists will be showcased for one month. Themes will be announced, with bios, artwork, and artist statements on our Facebook page. For information, send emails to snickerfritz1941@yahoo.com. If you have work to show, consider participating in a future exhibit and sharing a portfolio of your work.

The Gift of Art

These shows are organized by local artist Walter Allen Rogers. Refreshments are served, as local artists display their work for sale from 2 to 7 pm. Join us for conversation, networking, and the opportunity to pick up a one-of-a-kind piece. Upcoming dates: Saturdays, August 22 and September 26. Any changes or updates will be posted to our social media pages. These pop-up art shows are held on the third Saturday of each month.

Community Outreach

We have a mini pantry stocked with an assortment of non-perishable food items available to visitors on a first come, first served basis. Donations are accepted, so feel free to bring what you can, and take what you need. Items may be dropped off Tuesday and Saturday, 11 to 2 pm.

Art Classes

We hold art classes in the lower-level studio from 6 to 8 pm on Tuesday and Thursday evenings. All skill levels and mediums are welcome in this friendly, inclusive atmosphere. Please stop by for a visit. Bring your supplies and spread your creative wings with us. Seniors attend classes free of charge.

Collaboration

The museum focuses on projects that positively impact the community. With like-minded partners, we can expand our reach throughout the community. If you have an idea for a project, consider collaborating with us. We have connected with a couple of organizations who are interested in working with us and look forward to bringing our plans to fruition. Event dates and details will be posted to ClevelandArtsEvents.com.

Business Hours

Museum hours have changed to accommodate our repair schedule, and patrons are encouraged to call the office prior to visiting to ensure entry. The office is currently open from 11 am to 3 pm on Tuesday and Saturday; remaining hours are flexible. Come tour our galleries and studio space, and check out our year-round Black History Exhibit. To request a visit, leave a message on the office line: 216.860.0039.

“Think Art for Social Development” is the EEPMOA motto—exposure to the arts enhances life.
