New Talents, Same Creative Energy at East Ave Gallery

For the year of 2025, East Ave Gallery is excited to usher in another season of showcasing amazing local artists. Back in November of 2024, we highlighted Ghanaian artist Kwesi Agyare’s exhibition Womanism. Visitors from as far as California came to view the large-scale works and check out the new additions to the market. Having the colorful paintings on the wall for an extended time added a delightful touch to the various events held in the gallery space. Agyare’s show is set to close on March 14. Select prints of his paintings will remain available for purchase in the East Ave Market after the close of the show.

Spring has always inspired artists and often symbolizes renewal and fresh starts. With that in mind, we are happy to welcome a fresh new artist named Marla Love to the gallery this April. Marla will be captivating us with her photography for the first time. This Cleveland-based artist’s solo exhibition is entitled The Seat Project. As we celebrate these rising stars in photography, we also look forward to presenting other wonderful mediums and means of expression.

In May, East Ave Gallery will support a broad range of mediums by teaching artist Maurice C. Jackson. Going by the name Ravenoir, Maurice has taught art at Akron Public Schools for many years. For his solo exhibition, A Boomer’s Retrospective and Inspirational Vision, viewers will experience a timelapse of his artistry and academic career up to today. Like always, there is something that anyone at any age or background can appreciate at our gallery and market. Can’t wait to see you there!
