Biographical Info Bob Herbst is a photographer, printmaker, and teacher and has been printing in a variety of photographic alternative processes such as platinum/palladium, carbon transfer, silver gelatin, and photogravure since 1970. He has achieved international recognition as a master printer and his work can be found in the permanent collections of the Cleveland Museum of Art, the Progressive Insurance Corporation, The Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland, Washington National Cathedral, and the Orkney Museum in Kirkwall, Scotland as well as many private collections. Bob is currently a resident artist at Zygote Press in Cleveland where he is exploring the polymer plate photogravure printing process, letterpress, relief printing, and intaglio printing of non-photographic imagery. His imagery explores the abstract, as well as traditional architecture, landscape, and still life subjects. His prints incorporate chine colle’, selective hand-coloring, and other enhancements.
