Art By The Falls Returns

Festival guests at Art By The Falls

Valley Art Center (VAC) is thrilled to announce the 39th Art by the Falls festival, a highly-anticipated event that draws art enthusiasts from across the United States. The festival will take place from 10 am to 7 pm on Saturday, June 10, and from 10 am to 4 pm on Sunday, June 11, at Riverside Park in the heart of historic Chagrin Falls, Ohio.

Art by the Falls showcases over 130 artists from around the country, including painters, potters, jewelers, sculptors, photographers, and other fine artists. The festival is a wonderful opportunity for art enthusiasts and collectors to discover and purchase new and unique works. Art by the Falls also offers culinary delights, a community art project, an art raffle, and fun surprises throughout the park.

Continuing the theme of interactive public art at the festival that began in 2022 and the thread of environmental sustainability from VAC’s World Art Day public art display in April with Ron Shelton, the 2023 Community Art Project will be a unique collaborative community art project highlighting the importance of environmental responsibility, while creating a beautiful work of art from recycled plastic bags. The work will be on display at Valley Art Center following the festival. Material collection for the project will start in May; details are available at valleyartcenter.org.

“Valley Art Center is excited to invite everyone back to Riverside Park for the 39th Art by the Falls festival,” said Executive Director Bec Gruss. “We are proud to showcase so many talented artists and provide a fun and exciting experience for the whole community.”

As a nonprofit community art center, VAC produces Art by the Falls as part of its mission to enrich and inspire the community through meaningful visual art education, exhibitions, events, and partnerships.

Valley Art Center is also excited to announce our participation in THE BIG @SS @RT SHOW, a collaborative exhibition across four of Northeast Ohio’s arts institutions. From July 7 to August 23, VAC will be showcasing larger-than-life works of art from the region’s most innovative artists, including Raymond Bugelski, John A. Sargent III, Will Wilson, and more. Alongside Artist Archives of the Western Reserve, BAYarts, and The Gallery at Lakeland Community College, we are beyond excited to showcase an exceptional array of monumental-sized works that show the monumental talent of artists in Northeast Ohio.
