Valley Art Center is very excited to invite you back to Riverside Park in Chagrin Falls this summer for our 38th Art by the Falls on June 11 and 12!

Each year this event draws thousands of art lovers to discover and shop from more than 120 painters, potters, jewelers, sculptors, fiber artists and other fine craftspeople from across the US. Nestled on the banks of the Chagrin River, at the heart of historic Chagrin Falls, Ohio, this is an idyllic setting for an outdoor festival with the charming village Main Street overlooking two waterfalls and home to a wealth of independent boutiques, galleries and restaurants.

Later this summer, Valley Art Center presents Where Are We? An Exploration of Surrealism. Wander with us through dreams and the landscape of the unconscious. Opening July 15, with a reception on Saturday, July 16, this exhibition was juried and curated by John McCutcheon of Sean Christopher Gallery in Columbus, Ohio. In addition to the works selected by Mr. McCutcheon, Valley Art Center is extremely excited to have the opportunity to present a series of original etchings by Salvador Dali, perhaps the world’s most recognized surrealist artist. These works will be on display for one night only: Friday, August 5. In addition to the viewing, art advisor and art historian Casey Monda will give a talk about the history of surrealism and discuss collecting and conservation of prints and works on paper.

Finally, VAC will be a host venue this summer for exhibitions by Art Therapy Studio and Accessible Expressions Ohio. As part of Valley Art Center’s commitment to inclusion and accessibility, we are proud and excited to be working with Art Possible Ohio to showcase the incredible talents of differently-abled artists.
