Art House Energy Exchange

There is nothing like the buzz generated by the exploration, discovery, and learning that spontaneously occurs when children and adults come to Art House to participate in workshops or arts-in-education programs. The expansive energizing effect that these sessions offer is infectious, joyful, and particularly confirming for those of us who work to provide these opportunities.

Viewing art, sharing ideas and processes also creates palpable energy exchanges. Over the course of its nineteen-year history, Art House has addressed these possibilities in various ways. Currently, we showcase the artists who work with us through rotating mini-exhibitions so that visitors and program participants gain exposure to diverse visions.

During the January Community Culture Night, audience members interact with Robin VanLear’s parade mask.

Community Culture Night in August will feature Ian Charnas, co-founder and manager of the CWRU Sears think[box]. Ian, an engineer, has also co-created some world-renowned projects such as the Tesla Orchestra and the Waterfall Swing.

Michaelle Marschall, Untitled, 2017. 4″ x 6″. Encaustic and found objects, produced during the 2017 Artist Inventory Challenge.

During our 2018 Artist Inventory Challenge, invited artists will rummage, ruminate, and create new work out of the excess donated materials that we have on hand.

These events spark dialogue. Artists energize others as they share their passion and skills. Come feel the buzz at the next Art House event. Recharge your batteries. There will be plenty of creative energy to go around.
