On a recent trip to Rome, I discovered the amazing work of a talented Italian jewelry designer and made it my mission to bring some of her work back to my gallery here in Cleveland. Spazio Manassei Gioielli is the passion of Monica Coscioni who hails from an ancient Etruscan town, Orvieto. She draws the inspiration for her designs from the beauty of the places that surround her. “create revolutionary collections that are capable of realizing precious objects as beautiful, sophisticated, unique and special and that are separated from their material values.”

Monica’s studio resides in one of the most historic buildings in Orvieto, Palazzo Manassei.

“It is a place of magic and creation. Here I abandon myself into a frenzy of creation: I experience, I shape, from the bottom of the metal then forge. My hands are dirty with broken nails in the file but I do not care. From my dreams: the desire to create unique products and to communicate the incommunicable is my hymn to life.”

The Spazio Manassei Gioielli collection is set to debut at The W Gallery on Friday, September 1. We’re very excited to welcome our first international artist and hope that you will join us to celebrate the new addition and see Monica’s beautiful creations!

The W Gallery is a fine art store inside of Downtown Cleveland’s 5th Street Arcades featuring handmade jewelry in addition to hand-blown glass, ceramics, and photography. Besides curating the amazing and diverse work of our feature artists, custom jewelry is created and hand-engraved in an onsite design studio where customers are able to watch their pieces come to life.
