In the Galleries at Judson Park

Judson-Acrylic Painting by Judson Park resident Jim Tibbitts

Art is alive and well at Judson Park, a retirement community bridging Cleveland Heights and University Circle. The community features two galleries with exhibits that are free and open to the public.

Bi-monthly exhibits in the intimate Howson Gallery spotlight local and nationally known visual artists working in a variety of media. Friday gallery openings attract both residents and neighbors from the outside community. The gallery is managed by a committee of art-passionate residents led by retired Cleveland State University English professor Leonard Trawick.

The Dr. George A. Streeter Gallery was named in memory of the artist and psychoanalyst who founded a nationally recognized studio-based model of art therapy. After moving to Judson Park in 1999, Dr. Streeter worked tirelessly with both administration and residents to establish Judson’s Creative Arts Therapy program, motivating others to contribute time and raise funds to cover the cost of instructors and supplies.

Both galleries are open to the public 9am to 8pm daily.
