Art Resources Transformations (ART) DBA Curated Storefront fosters community and economic growth in and around Akron, Ohio by fueling artistic innovation, commissioning public art, expanding access to arts education, and nurturing a thriving cultural ecosystem. ART began as “Curated Storefront”, a 2016 Knight Foundation Arts Challenge grantee using contemporary art to activate and enhance empty and/or underutilized spaces to combat economic blight. In 2019, ART was incorporated in Ohio and granted 501(c)(3) status. ART programming also includes the pop-up museum, Clayton Bailey's World of Wonders; the Avant Garden ART Studios and Gallery; artist residencies at the I Promise School; and Outside the Box, a series of upcycled shipping containers that have been transformed into mobile art galleries.
