Orange Art Center
On a cold and rainy July day, it seemed appropriate to write about Orange Art Center in the fall. It’s our most busy season, with a new schedule of classes and workshops, our revitalized Community Show on display at the Cuyahoga County Public Library-Orange Branch, and our 2016 membership drive.
The OAC Community Show is a great chance to see the talent in our community, and to take home some original artwork–which benefits both the Art Center and the artists living in our own backyard. This year’s judge is artist Timothy Callahan. The show opens with a reception from 2 – 4 pm Sunday, August 30 at the Library, and runs through September 27.
On October 9 our OAC board will host Tablescape, a luncheon at the Cleveland Racquet Club in partnership with Mulhulland and Sachs. Events like this offset OAC’s general operating costs and help provide the programming our community seeks.
Our ten-week Adult & Teen Fall Class schedule starts Tuesday, September 8, with Drawing & Painting classes, Pottery, Watercolor, and Fine Jewelry Making.
Our Kids’ Classes begin September 28, and last 7 weeks. Classes include age-appropriate Pottery, Drawing & Painting, plus one Pottery class for ages 6-11, giving siblings of different ages a chance to take a class together.
