ArtFace: Richard Moore and Kate Zimmerer

ART FACE Richard Moore and Kate Zimmerer The Bonfoey Company If a small business survives three years, that's generally a good sign. Founded in 1893 by Asher Bonfoey, and passed along to George Moore in 1939, The Bonfoey Company is now in its third generation of leadership by Moore's family. Richard Moore increased the gallery's commitment to exhibiting art and representing artists in the seventies, and currently represents some of Cleveland's most prominent artists. He and his daughter Kate Zimmerer continue the legacy of making hand carved frames, custom gold leafing, and top quality restoration, as well as exhibits by the likes of Frank Oriti, Dana Oldfather, Mary Lou Ferbert, Susan Squires, Harriet Moore Ballard, and dozens more. Richard quipped that this photo should be titled “Beauty and the Beast.” Kate's response: “Nothing could be further from the truth!”
