Summer in the City: The Cleveland Print Room
This summer at the Cleveland Print Room, you can become a member, develop film, make a pinhole camera, take a plastic camera workshop and show your results in our gallery, join our Social Club, attend a yoga class, or take a class to learn wet plate collodion or cyanotype photo techniques. The Print Room is a multipurpose photography center with something for everyone.
In its first exhibit of the summer, CPR hosts Spotlight: Emerging Photographers (May 17 – June 30). With nearly two dozen photographers, the showcase focuses on the ascending talent from Tri-C, Kent State University, Cleveland State University, and Cleveland Institute of Art.
Capping the summer gallery schedule, Humana People to People India features the hand-printed, socially relevant photography of Clevelander Halim Ina (July 12 – August 25). “In many parts of the world the education of girls is secondary to the chores demanded of them. Through this exhibition, and in collaboration with Humana People to People India, we aim to change this reality for the girls of five villages. We invite you to join us, to witness the magic of a photograph and offer your support for these most beautiful spirits,” said Halim Ina.
