Art, Mind & Body at the Screw Factory

Four classroom spaces have joined the mix at the Screw Factory. The focuses are diverse, from fine craft to mind and body. Each instructor brings years of knowledge and teaching experience to the fold.

Alyssa Lee Wilmot has formed the Movement Factory, a community studio that combines fitness, dance, and Pilates with art, and is accessible to a variety of lifestyles, ages, and skill levels in an aesthetically pleasing space that reflects contemporary designs and trends.

Terra Verde Handmade and Burning River Candle Company opened this spring and will offer soap and candle making classes. They will be offering workshops in conjunction with Gina DeSantis Ceramics and her new classroom and community clay studio on floor 3.

Lastly, Eva Sherman of Grand River Bead Studio has moved from Rocky River and will be offering a variety of jewelry making workshops. Eva’s jewelry designs have been featured in Stringing Magazine, Step By Step Wire and Bead Trends.

The resounding theme of each studio is to encourage awareness, understanding and the appreciation of the mind and body while creating a sense of community in the building. Whether you want to calm your mind through handling clay or taking a dance class, the Screw Factory is proving that the arts, mind and body are a happily married union.
