“First” in Line at CSU Galleries’ New Space

The Cleveland State University Art Gallery is proud to present 1307 Euclid Avenue: The First Exhibition as the inaugural exhibition in the gallery’s new venue. It’s also the first CSU faculty group show in 15 years.

The First Exhibition will include recent works in all media by Studio Art Faculty as well as past and present teaching staff. Artists include: Irina Koukhanova, Qian Li, George Mauersberger, Russ Revock, Mark Slankard, Robert Thurmer,

Michael Gentile, Peter Wells, Stephanie Craig, Terry Clark, Catherine Rozmarynowycz, Nancy Halbrook, and others. In addition, Jenny Jones: A Photographic Legacy for Cleveland State University will be on view. The exhibit presents selected works by celebrated Cleveland photographer Jennifer Jones.

Cleveland State University’s new art gallery will be housed at 1307 Euclid Avenue, the Cowell and Hubbard building. It’s located next to the restaurant that shares the building’s name, in the heart of the recently launched Arts Campus at  Playhouse Square. The new art venue features three distinct exhibition spaces, a multipurpose media space, a resource library, a meeting area, as well as state of the art lighting, surround sound and new-media capabilities.

Join us to celebrate this fresh beginning with a reception in the new space on Friday, September 7, 2012 from 5 to 8pm to anticipate and confirm a bright and productive future in our new home.
