Waterloo Arts Gallery with CAN Journal presents an exhibit of artist books from Ediciones Vigia (Matanzas, Cuba). Ediciones Vigia publishes approximately 15 literary volumes each year in handmade editions of 200, using all recycled materials.
This panel discussion brings together writers and editors from the artist book and DIY literary publishing scene in Cleveland with visiting Creative Fusion artist Laura Ruiz Montes, editor of Ediciones Vigia, for a discussion of the role of artist books in literary publishing.
Other panelists include Art Books Cleveland founder Bonne DeBlas, Case Western Reserve University professor Damaris Punales Alpizar, DIY publisher RA Washington, and CAN publisher / letterpress printer Michael Gill.
