In the BAYarts Summertime
BAYarts Annual Summer Concerts is a “bring your own chair or blanket” concert series that offers a great occasion to enjoy the magnificence of Cleveland Metroparks in the summertime. The free series is made possible by funding from PNC and radio sponsor WCPN. Each year the series highlights local talent on the outdoor stage.
Picnics are encouraged for these family friendly events, and parking is free. For a complete schedule, go to bayarts.net/events. BAYarts Summer Intensive Program offers adult and serious teen artists a unique opportunity to hone their skills or try a new medium. Local art professionals and faculty lead workshops as varied as encaustic, plein air oils or watercolor, monoprinting, portraits and more. For complete schedule go to bayarts.net/classes.
BAYarts Art and Music Festival gives artists an alternative to sell their work, and gives shoppers an opportunity to buy unique, locally made art and craft at a great price. About 40 artist/vendors participate in an atmosphere filled with music by Uzizi, the Burning River Ramblers, and local up-and-coming acts from 10 a.m. To 5 p.m. For more information, go to bayarts.net/events.
