Discover the Wonders of Nature and Vibrant Expressions This Winter at EP Studio!
This winter, immerse yourself in two captivating exhibitions at EP Studio that celebrate the beauty of nature and the dynamic emotions of the human experience. First, through January 17, 2025, is Insectorum: A Metamorphosis, an exploration of the intricate sculptures of Ashley Huettner, the talented artist behind Birdtown Botanical Oddities. Her stunning, nature-inspired pieces pay homage to the delicate beauty of the natural world. Raised on a farm, Ashley was profoundly influenced by her rockhounding father, game warden grandfather, and artist mother. Her childhood instilled in her a deep appreciation for nature’s complexities.
Ashley meticulously crafts each piece to honor life’s fragility and resilience. Her sculptures invite viewers to engage with the delicate balance between preservation and the cycles of existence. Through her work, Ashley encourages contemplation on life and death’s inevitability, offering a space for reflection on the intricate connections we share with the natural world. Visitors to her exhibit will find themselves captivated by the elegance and thoughtfulness woven into each piece.
As the new year unfolds, prepare to be entranced by the vibrant abstract paintings of Megan Dardis, whose exhibit runs from February 21 through April 18, 2025. A dynamic artist based in Cleveland, Megan explores the fluid interplay of movement, emotion, and form in her vivid creations. Her energetic brushstrokes and striking color palettes capture the essence of human experiences, transforming raw emotions into compelling visual narratives.
Megan’s creative process is an engaging dance between control and spontaneity, resulting in abstract landscapes that reflect the constant transformations of life and emotion. Each stroke reveals a story of evolution, inviting viewers to explore the ever-changing nature of their own experiences. Megan’s work resonates with a sense of immediacy and timelessness.
Together, these exhibitions offer a remarkable opportunity to explore the profound connections between nature and human expression. Ashley’s sculptures evoke wonder and appreciation for the world around us, while Megan’s paintings spark reflection on the fleeting moments that shape our lives.
