Join us at the Cleveland Print Room this spring as we plunge into our sixth year. Members of CPR have access to Cleveland’s only community darkroom, where you can develop and print your own film. Members also receive discounts on classes and workshops—from basic B&W darkroom printing to Polaroid transfers, pinhole photography and cyanotypes. CPR has classes for all ages and levels of experience.

Wondering where the next generation of Cleveland-area photographic artists are coming from? Look no further than Spitball, opening in CPR’s gallery Friday, March 2. Curated by LOOP’s Kory Gasser and Print Room founder and director Shari Wilkins, Spitball features the work of area photographers ages 30 and under.

Watch, also, for a new exhibition of excellent work from our Teen Institute after-school student photography programs in April and May, opening date to be announced.

Are you a photographer yourself? Of course you are! Why not enter the best of your photography in this year’s annual juried Peer Show, which will be opening Friday, June 8. Judged this year by Lillian Kuri, Cleveland Foundation’s vice president of strategic grantmaking, arts and urban design initiatives, and Jennifer Coleman, Gund Foundation’s senior program officer for the arts, the Peer Show is open to any US or Canada resident over 18. Artists may submit up to two pieces of original art in any photographic medium, analog or digital. With cash prizes awarded in five categories, it’s the perfect opportunity to show off your photographic achievements.
