For more than 25 years, Art Therapy Studio has offered unique art classes that help people express their artistic talents in a warm, welcoming studio. Our “Discover the Artist Within You” classes for seniors are designed to enrich creativity, sharpen memory, and inspire new friendships. They are perfect for seniors who want to give art a try, or further develop their skills, and have fun at the same time. Beginners are welcome—no experience is needed.

Three 11-week classes, facilitated by Rosalia Rozsahegyi, ATR-BC, take place at Fairhill Partners, just minutes away from Shaker Square. All supplies are provided and scholarships are available for those in financial need.

Seniors’ Painting Group – Acrylic Basics (Wednesdays, 9:30-11:30 am) explores the fundamentals of acrylic paint. Individualized instruction guides and nurtures beginning painters, develops technique and inspires more experienced painters.

Creative Clay Works (Wednesdays, 12:30-2:30 pm) explores basic clay-forming techniques and experiments with mixed media methods to create sculptural forms.

Seniors’ Group – Art for the Fun of It! (Fridays, 10 am-12 pm) experiments with different media and styles and incorporates a variety of classic and non-traditional art materials and methods.

Seniors’ Sampler Class – a two-week sampler class– (Wednesdays, 10 am-12 pm) introduces our studio, staff, and approach to art. We will apply the fee for this class to one of our 11-week classes, should you decide to enroll.
